I might just keep it short and simple. Another masochistic Air Asia flight.
They really went from an acceptable low cost carrier in the past to one who needs to be avoided in the future. A rip off to customers.

Prior to check in online we did buy some hot seats at the very front of the cabin in the hope to have the middle seat empty. Luckily it worked out.

On the Ground:
We checked in online again and this time the self printed boarding pass was enough. The check in agent was friendly and bag drop was no issue.

Almost no queue at the security check point.

Boarding started around 10 minutes after the indicated time.
Funnywise they have somehow different procedures in Phuket then in Bangkok.
No preboarding done. Even worse. They filled the plane by seat row numbers from the back to the front. So priority passengers with seats in row 12 and 14 boarded last and there was no space left in the cabin.
Well done Air Asia to charge for priority boarding ans let customers board last.

Gate staff was okay. Nothing friendly but they did their job they get paid for.

Whilst boarding the crew was present.
No greetings, nothing.
Also on this flight robots as crew which acted like police officers.
Nothing friendly at all.
Inflight:
This Airbus 320 is configured with a 3/3 economy class seating and a total of 180 seats.
Legrest for regular Caucasian people, even in the hot seats in the front, is on the absolute minimum, the seats aren't really comfortable.
Also on this flight, you have to take the food home in a doggy bag!!!
This is another rip off in my eyes of all customers who pre order food and drinks.
Have you tried to eat a preheated hot meal 2-3 hours later?
No inflight entertainment.
No WiFi available.

As written before, Air Asia went from an acceptable Low Cost Carrier to one which we will definitely avoid in the future

There are much better choices in Thailand and even the full legacy carrier aren't much more expensive.
We can not recommend Air Asia anymore.
