On the Ground:
So we arrived 2,5 hours prior departure at the airport. Thanks to our Business Class ticket and Sky Team Gold Status we were able to use the Sky Priority counter.
Only 3 check-in counter in total were open. 2 economy and 1 business. There were some lines but waiting times with around 5 minutes was okay.
The agent was friendly but nothing special.
The Security Check once again was simply awesome. Very short queues with sply two people ahead of us.
Staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful.
SkyTeam has no own lounge in Zurich and Air France has contracted the Marhaba Lounge in Zurich.
Marhaba is the smallest lounge at the airport and during our time the lounge was super busy but we were lucky to get some seating space.
The F&B buffet is very small but the choices were aboundend and good in quality.
Staff at the gate seemed stressed rather unfriend and grumpy.
No real priority boarding was conducted. They just started boarding before doing the boarding announcement which meant that people could not board and were hindering the boarding process. This
again made the agent angry and she started yelling at passengers without the correct boarding group.
At the aircraft door we were greeted by the senior cabin crew member and another crew member. The crew was super present and friendly whilst boarding.
Once everyone was on board, refreshing towels were distributed.
Inflight:
The seats are comfortable and have a good legroom. The regular European Business Class with a 2/3 seating configuration where the middle seats remains empty on the side with 3 seats and only
one seat on the side with 2 seats is given out.
Announcement from the cabin and flight crew were good and understandable.
After take off, a cold snack was served. The meal was very delicious and the food presentation looked good.
The tray consisted of a cold snack, fresh cheese, a dessert as well as bread and butter.
The
cabin was fully booked but the crew wasn't stressed at all. They were super friendly, attentive and performed a great inflight service.
The Air France Airbus 220 has no inflight entertainment system but the aircraft is equipped with WiFi.
Air France offers a free WiFi for communication apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger etc.
The speed was actually very fast.
Transiting in Paris CDG wasn't a big issue as we arrived from Zurich, we didn't have to go through security again but to pass emigration as we left the Schengen area. As CDG airport is
massive, ways can be very long especially when you have to change terminal.
Summary:
All in all a good flight with Air France. A nice crew with a great inflight service on board a new aircraft.
Based on this flight we can recommend Air France for future travels.
