On the Ground:
As we were in transit, we bypassed the Check-In.
No waiting time and line at the security check point.

We used the British Airways Galleries Lounge at Johannesburg Airport.
It was the worst Business Class Lounge I have ever seen. First of all it was hot as the air conditioning didn't work properly. There was no oxygen to breathe and the air was sticky, stinky and humid.
The selection of drinks was ok. The buffet for food was poor in presentation and in quality. Salads were standing around uncooled for hours

The Gate Number was indicated on your boarding pass and on the screens.
The flight itself at the gate was only shown once the boarding did start.

Gate Staff was unfriendly and grumpy. There was no real group boarding as they started with group 1 & 2 and about 1 minute later with group 3.

On board, once everyone was on, the cabin crew distributed welcome drinks (champagne / water) and the menu cards.

Each seat was already equipped with a water bottle, a headset, a big fluffy pillow and 2 different blankets.

Inflight:
The seats are comfortable and cozy. The layout is 2 / 3 / 2 on the upper deck where half of the seats are backwards facing. For couples and parties of 2 this is nice as you can talk to each other, otherwise if sitting next to a stranger he is so close that it feels uncomfortable.
The seats are fully lie flat.

After take off hot towels were distributed and the table was set up.
The main service consisted of a full size tray with salad, first course and bread. The hot meal was plated separately. Dessert and cheese was offered afterwards.
I choose the express option as I wanted to sleep and the full size tray was brought. It took way to long as I got my express tray 1hour after departure.
The food was good in quality and presentation.

Before landing breakfast was served. As it is a la carte you can choose basically from a simple croissant to a hot English breakfast.

Drinks is an issue. They are only served on the trays with your meals. No passing with drink trolley or any refill. During the entire night not a single water service was done. We got on this flight a cup of coffee, a glass of Redwine and water. On a 10,5 hrs flight. This should be looked at and be changed.

The cabin crew on this flight wasn't extraordinary. The crew member on our side was grumpy, unfriendly and most probably she does not like her job.
It was the complete opposite from our flight to South Africa.

My Inflight entertainment system crashed about 5 times.
The system itself is old. The selection of films is way below other international carriers.

All in all an ok flight thanks to the seat but nothing special or repeatable from the crew.
