On the Ground:
As we were in transit, we bypassed the Check-In.
No waiting time and line at the security check point.
We used the Lounge at the south end of the terminal. The lounge in size is massive. Unfortunately it was rather crowded and there was no lounge feeling. Every train station at rush hour is more
quiet.
The selection of drinks was good. The buffet for food looked good but the quality was poor.
The Gate Number is indicated way to late on the screens. Like this everyone rushes to the satellite building at the same time.
Once at the gate, and at boarding time an announcement was made that the plane has a technical issue and that boarding would start earliest in 45min. As of then no additional announcement made.
Gate Staff was friendly but rather stressed. Boarding was conducted as per Group number. The issue was just that no one checked the groups. Group one was filled with all other groups from 2 to 5
and noone cared.
This results that group 5 boarded earlier as group 2.
On board, once everyone was on, the cabin crew distributed welcome drinks (champagne / water) water bottles and the menu cards.
Each seat was already equipped with a headset, a big fluffy pillow and 2 different blankets.
Inflight:
The seats are comfortable and cozy. The layout is 2 / 3 / 2 on the upper deck where half of the seats are backwards facing. For couples and parties of 2 this is nice as you can talk to each
other, otherwise if sitting next to a stranger he is so close that it feels uncomfortable.
The seats are fully lie flat.
After take off hot towels were distributed and the table was set up.
The main service consisted of a full size tray with salad, first course and bread. The hot meal was plated separately. Dessert and cheese was offered afterwards.
The food was good in quality but the presentation from the hot meal could be better.
Before landing breakfast was served. As it is a la carte you can choose basically from a simple croissant to a hot English breakfast.
Drinks is an issue. They are only served on the trays with your meals. No passing with drink trolley to refill. During the entire night not a single water service. This should be looked at and be changed.
The cabin crew on this flight was friendly, helpful and super professional. Great performance as a Team and top interactions with their passengers.
Everyone was smiling.
The in-flight entertainment is old. The selection of films is way way below other international carriers. Only old movies were shown.
No WiFi available on this aircraft.
All in all a great flight with a great crew.
