This was our first flight after the lock down. We haven't flown for 6 month and we decided on super short notice to fly away for our wedding anniversary.
So here we are after six months happy, excited and nervous at the same time.
On the Ground:
We booked this flight online and checked in a via the app.
The Easyjet App is simply great and has fantastic features. Information is sent as push messages and you can find everything in a few clicks.
EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg
was almost empty and there were only a few flights leaving that day.
I was shocked about the lack of hand sanitizers at the airport.
From entering the building until boarding we passed and found one simple hand sanitizer at the most akward spot.
The only sanitizer was in front of the security check and it was empty! There was no sanitizer in lavatories or at any of the top touchpoints.
All Basel Airport did, is placing a placard after security with the reminder: "please do not forget to was your hands after security check". It simply feels dirty and filthy.
Zurich Airport has tons of Sanitizer alone at Landside at noralgic points.
There was no line at the security and we were able to go through in no time. Staff at security was ok.
Gate Staff was ok, friendly and did a good job.
Cabin crew was present in the gallies and in the cabin whilst boarding.
Inflight:
This Airbus 320 is equipped like all others with a 3/3 seating configuration in a single class.
The slim line seats looked new and were OK concerning comfort. The legroom was ok too but the seat width is super narrow. They have more space in the aisle than for example Lufthansa or Swiss but 3 grown males have no space to sit next to each other.
After take off the Crew sold the Drinks and beverages from the onboard bar. Unfortunately just some snacks such as Pringles available.
EasyJet could restart to sell Sandwiches and other packed snacks. I don't know why they hold themselves back.
The cabin crew was good and friendly. Unfortunately interactions are limited but you could see through the mask that they were smiling and happy with what they do.
Inflight entertainment is inexistent.
No WiFi available.
Prices were rather cheap and we did not expect much especially post COVID.
I would recommend Easyjet for future travels.
