On the Ground

As we were in transit in Addis Abeba and all bags checked through to our final destination we only had to go through security.

There would be a priority lane for all business class passengers but it is much slower than the others as Security agents are busy talking to each other or making fun. Agents very rude and unfriendly.

Once back in the terminal, we were able to use the Ethiopian Airlines business class lounge.

The lounge is huge in size and quite crampy with seating facilities. The choice of drinks and food is limited but it was nice to see a lounge open during this time.

Gate Staff was friendly but they were busier to make fun together than working. Boarding was supposed to be at 9:00AM with a 9:45AM departure. Boarding started at 9:42AM, on the screens still flight on time and no announcement from staff.

Priority boarding was conducted and checked by the agents.

Cabin crew was friendly during boarding and present in the cabin.

On board, once everyone was on, the cabin crew distributed water bottles and amenity kits.

A welcome drink consisting of orange juice and champagne was offered.

The seats are comfortable and cozy but rather on the soft side. The seats are set up in a 2 / 2 / 2 configuration and are able to transform in a fully lie flat bed.

The seats were already equipped with noise cancelling ear phones as well as a pillow and blanket.

Inflight:

After take off the crew came to take the order for Lunch.

They call the meal a light lunch option and there was the choice of two hot meal.

On the full size tray which they brought out was a nice couscous salad, a hot meal, desert and some cheese and bread.

The couscous salad was absolutely delicious. The hotmeal didn't have the best look but it was really nice and tasted much better than the hotmeal on the flight from Europe. For a 2hrs 20min flight absolutely great service.

The crew was super attentive, friendly and helpful. They always offered a second helping or anything else. Great interaction with customers was kept to a minimum but still recognizable and appreciated by the customers.

The in-flight entertainment was good with lots of movies, films and music. Most of them were available in many different languages.

No WiFi available on this aircraft.
