On the Ground:
We checked-in online and went to the airport to drop our bags. Initially we booked economy but we were able to buy a last minute upgrade into Business Class.
The Staff at the Airport was excellent and helpful.

 

There was a line at the central security. Their problem is that 2 lanes are using the same security scanner. It took quite some time and the staff had no patience at all.
Passport check was easy and quick as we could use the self scanning passport control gates.

 

We went to the Qantas Business Class Lounge for a quick drink.
As both Agents at the check-in told us to hurry up as boarding would be at 10:20 we were at the gate at 10:20!

Boarding started at 10:50 and we could easily have stayed longer in the lounge.
No information was given why the boarding was delayed.
Gate Staff was nice and friendly.

Priority boarding was conducted and had a special lane.

 

On board, once everyone was on, the cabin crew passed with Fijian Cocktails and Mocktails as welcome drinks as well as hot towels.
The crew was very welcoming and pleasant.
The seat pockets were equipped with a Fiji Water bottle.

 

Inflight:
The seats in Business Class are configured in a 2/2 configuration. Unfortunately you could tell the age of the seats as they were worn out and rather hard. It was unfortunately not the new Fiji Airways product.

 

After take off the menu cards were distributed and an aperitif was served before lunch.
Lunch was a delicious 3 course meal set in by the crew.

 

Cabin Crew was doing a great Job. They interacted constantly with the passengers and always had a smile.

The inflight entertainment system consisted of the main screen where movies are shown throughout the entire flight. In Business Class you get additionally an I-Pad with lots of films, music and tv shows.
No WiFi available.

 

I was quite impressed by the service they offered on this 3hrs 15minutes flight.
I would definitely recommend Fiji Airways for future travels.
