On the Ground:
We did check in on the web and had hand baggage only.
The security fast track in Barcelona was very efficient and there were no waiting times.

 

We did use the Airport VIP Lounge which is the only lounge in Barcelona and used from most airlines. The lounge is quite big but but as it is
The choice and taste of the food and drinks was ok.

 

Gate staff was friendly and helpful. No announcements made due to the delay and boarding started at actual departure time. Priority boarding was conducted.

 

No cabin crew members present in the cabin for boarding.
Announcements from both (pilots & cabin crew) were very good and understandable.

 

 

Inflight:
The seats are comfortable and ok. The regular European Business Class with a 3/3 seating configuration where the middle seats remain empty.

 

After take off, a cold snack was served.
This is now the 3rd cold snack I am able to try and unfortunately I have to say that Lufthansas Catering has a problem. The food is eatable but far far away from being good or even tasty.

 

This Cabin Crew was completely different than the last one from Munich. They worked as a team, helped each other and had fun doing their job.
The crew interacted with the customers and were pro active and passed several times through the cabin.

 

No inflight entertainment system.


The aircraft was equipped with FlyNet internet connectivity. Lufthansa offers 3 Options you can buy for your flight. 3€ messaging (messages & email), 7€ surf (messaging, email &surf) or 12€ stream (messaging, email, surf and streaming). As the price or the subscription is only for the respective flight I find it super expensive to charge 12€ for a 1hr 40minutes flight if low coster offer it for free or if you pay 17€ on other Star Alliance members for a 10 hour flight over the North Atlantic to Western Canada.

 

 

The Lufthansa Business product could not catch my attention and I will choose other Lufthansa Group Airlines (LX, OS) over LH itself. If they want to keep up, they need to work on their product.
