On the Ground:
We checked in online at home but the only way of sending the boarding pass was via email as pdf. Boarding Pass on Mobile wallet is impossible.
At ZRH Airport SAS is handled from Dnata at a common check-in area. The check in agent was super friendly and welcoming.
No queues at the security check point.
As SAS is a Star Alliance Member we could use the Swiss Business Class Lounge in Terminal A.
This lounge is simply amazing since they reopened it after renovation. The choice of food and beverages is top and the atmosphere is great.
Gate staff was a disaster. Unfriendly and stressed and when asking a question she lied straight into your face.
Priority boarding was not conducted. The agent simply opened the self boarding gates for everyone and then started to do the announcement.
There was no welcome drink or any other service on the ground.
Inflight:
The seats are comfortable and ok. The aircraft is equipped with a 3/3 seating configuration.
Shocking was to find out that SAS sells all 3 seats in Business. Well like this it is no Business anymore. The only difference to economy is that the food and beverages are free of charge.
After take off a hot towel and a small cold snack in a tiny paper box was served. The food was nice and delicious but the presentation of it with all the paper
and plastic wasn't nice. It gave it a super cheap touch.
The crew was ok and simply doing their job. They were present in the cabin but did not interact with the passengers.
No inflight entertainment.
No WiFi available.
The product SAS is offering is not a Business class product at all. Some star alliance members have this service for all its economy guests free of charge.
I would not buy a SAS business class ticket again just for a short haul flight.
If it comes in combination with a long haul flight, maybe.
There is definitely much better choice on this route and with other carrier's.
