On the Ground:
We did check-in on the website for our flight. Once arrived at Changi Airport Terminal 2, we found out that check-in and bag drop off was all automated. Dropping our bags was super easy and super fast.
No queues at emigration and we could use the automated gates.

 

Changi Airport still has the old closed-in gates. Boarding was set for 8:30AM and that was roughly the time when the security checkpoint opened. Queues were moderate and it took us around 10 minutes to go through.
After security you are boarded into the lounge. Staff was friendly and efficient. From the lounge boarding is simply opening the doors and let everyone in.


The crew was super present in the cabin whilst boarding. The whole crew was smiling and interacting with the guests.
Hot towels and headsets were distributed in economy class on the ground prior to departure.

 

Departure was scheduled for 9:05 AM and then re-timed for connecting passengers to 9:30 AM. At 10:20 AM we were still on the ground with a single announcement with no information. The temperature in the cabin was super hot and after around 1hr 20min delay the crew was carrying out a water service.
Total lack of information. This could have been solved much better.

 

Inflight:
This Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is configured with a 3-3-3 economy class seating layout.
The seats are comfortable in terms of legroom but sorry to say a complete disaster in weith wise  3 adults can not sit next to each other and use the backrest. One of the 3 needs to lean forward and not to mention that it is impossible to eat.

I would definitely not take this Aircraft for a longhaul flight and would avoid in booking such a flight. Short and middle haul is doable but every Airbus 320 offers more space.

 

After take off a hot breakfast with 2 choices of hot items were served.
The food was nice and the presentation was ok.

 

Bathrooms were ok and clean. They were even equipped with toothbrush an amenities on this short haul flight.

 

The Cabin Crew was simply stunning, fresh, friendly and efficient. They were interacting with the customers and were smiling all the time.
They were super present in the cabin and went the extra mile.

 

The Kris in-flight entertainment system is simply amazing. Lots of films and blockbusters and the system reacts super fast.
WiFi was available on this Aircraft but we didn't use it as we had a short flight time of 2hrs and 5minutes.

 

Baggage delivery on arrival took forever.

 

Resume:
All in all a good experience with Singapore Airlines.
The soft product in the cabin such as the crew and service was good.
Information about the delay was handled bad.
Hard product could not convince me. The seat is bad and you aren't able to sit correct as a caucasian as the seats are sooooo tight.
