On the Ground:
We checked in online the day before so we only had to drop our bags.
So we arrived 1,5 hours prior departure at the airport. Thanks to our Senator Status with Swiss we were allowed to check/drop our bags at the First Class counter.
The agent was very friendly and welcoming. Check-in was done in no time.
The Security Check once again was good. It was rush hour at the airport but we only had to wait around 5-10 minutes.
Staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful.
As we had enough time, we visited the Swiss Alpine Lounge for a coffee and little quick breakfast.
It is one of the nicest lounges of Swiss as it is not overcrowded and has enough seating space.
The F&B product was very good. A nice buffet with cold items, a live clocking station where you could order your freshly prepared egg dishes. Food was very delicious and the staff also here
was simply amazing and welcoming.
We arrived 2-3 minutes prior indictated on the boarding pass. Boarding was already in full swing.
So no idea if they did a priority boarding.
Unfortunately the aircraft wasn't ready and we had to wait 10 minutes in the jetbridge. It doesn't make any sense to board early and to let customers want in a jetbridge.
At the
aircraft door we were greeted by the senior cabin crew member (Maitre de Cabine). The crew was super present and friendly whilst boarding.
Inflight:
The seats usually are comfortable and ok. The Airbus A220 has a 2/3 seating configuration. The legroom is okay for a short haul aircraft.
My seat unfortunately was completely worn out and I was sitting on pure metal.
We were lucky enough to get some seats at the emergency exit.
Announcement from the cockpit and cabin crew were good and understandable. Both spoke slowly and clearly.
After take off, the crew distributed some water bottles and some Swiss chocolates.
After that, they started with the buy on bord service.
The prices Swiss is asking for its products is simply insane and expensive. A simplw chicken sandwich nowadays is at almost 12$US.
Due to the reason of our trip, we decided to buy us an aperitif.
The
cabin crew was super young. Two of them were still having their introduction flights and the other two were MC short. They were very friendly and helpful. They showed some passion for what they
do and it was great to see that the older ones tried to forward that passion to the youngsters.
The Swiss Airbus A220 family is equipped with an inflight entertainment system which consists of screens above every second seat row. They show the safety presentation on these screens as
well as the most famous film in Aviation: "the map“.
No WiFi available on this flight.
After the Flight
Baggge delivery in Amsterdam was a disaster as always.
First bag arrived on the belt 30 minutes after arrival on the belt. Economy bags were delivered first. Priority bags were delivered last
Summary:
All in
all a good flight with Swiss. Ground product at the airport was very good. The Inflight service was okay, to bad Swiss isn't offering free catering anymore but for such a short flight it was
acceptable.
