I checked-in on my mobile via the Swiss App. As we were traveling for a 2,5 weeks vacation we had to go and check in our bags
There was only a very short queue at the Business Class Check-in. The agent was friendly and attentive.
We were traveling during the noon departure peak hour.
There was no, I repeat no queue at the security check point.
This time also the staff was friendly again. We were through security in 2 minutes and headed to the Lounge.
We visited the Aspire lounge with our Priority Pass our flight left from Terminal B. (The Aspire Lounge is not contracted from Swiss and we will rate it but the lounge will not be taken into
the overall flight review rating because of this.)
The lounge interior is modern and offers lots of seating. Compared to our last stays the lounge was super busy today.
The F&B product was good. A small buffet with cold items (two salads, 2 different sandwiches were available) as well as a little buffet with hot items such as soup, Safron Rice and Pasta
Carbonara were available.
The food was fresh and tasty and the staff was friendly and very present.
Our flight departed from an open parking position so we got a bus gate from Terminal B at Zurich Airport.
We arrived at the Gate 10 minutes prior the indicated boarding time.
The agent was a simpel disaster at the gate. I don't know where
Swissport International AG is recruiting its staff lately. There was no announcement at all, he just said in a
loud voice to the crowd "so, Mailand" and started boarding. No procedures followed, no smiles, no talking, simply nothing. A disgrace for all the colleagues who do a great job.
A bus then took us to our aircraft.
At the aircraft door we were greeted by the Senior Cabin Attendant.
Once everyone was boarded, some water bottles and refreshing towels were distributed.
Inflight:
The seats are okay in terms of comfort and legroom. The Embraer of Helvetic Airways has much tighter seats and less legroom than the Airbus A220 of Swiss.
The Embraer has a 2/2 seating configuration where Swiss is only giving out 1 seat on business class and keeps the other one empty for more space.
The
Cabin Crew was welcoming and friendly. They interacted with the customers during service. You could see that they liked what they do.
Announcement from the flight deck were very good. They were clear and understandable.
The announcements from the cabin crew were so so.
The Embraer has no inflight entertainment system.
No WiFi available.
As we were continuing on a different PNR with Ethiopian Airlines, we had to collect our bags and recheck them in again.
Baggage delivery in Milan was very bad.
First bags were delivered 33 minutes after arriving on the parking position and guess what, first bags were economy bags.
All in all a good flight with Swiss operated by Helvetic Airways.
Good and friendly crew with a nice inflight product for a 35min hop.
