Foreword:
After a few weeks we are back at this property. It was absolutely amazing to see the step forward the hotel has made compared to last time.
In the review below I will give some more details on the improvements we could recognize.
General Info:
The hotel is located in Dornbirn, Austria close to the A14 Highway in the industrial district of Dornbirn.
A few steps from the hotel there is a shopping center and the trade fair hall. In front of the hotel there is a local bus stop which brings you to Dornbirn and Bregenz.
Otherwise there is not a lot in walking vicinity except some fast food restaurants and a very good Italian restaurant. Other than these, there are no restaurants and bars around and you have to take the bus or your own car to go for dinner.
The renovation of the Hotel is now completed and the two new floors with the new rooms are operational. It has now a total of 162 rooms and suites.
The building is very modern from the outside and all public spaces such as the lobby, the bar/restaurant as well as the breakfast restaurant on the 11th floor are brand new and newly renovated.
In the public areas, the hotel is very modern, beautifully furnished and does not really compare with the Four Points standard. This hotel is on a top level for a Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.
Check-in:
The check-in was really nice. The agent was a new Trainee but the check-in was super welcoming. She greeted us with a smile when we approached the front desk and was very professional and did the check-in in a fresh breathy way. She chatted with us all the time during the process and gave us all the information we needed for our stay.
Absolutely top check-in for a Trainee.
Check-out:
Check-out was simply top. The agent interacted with us and asked for feedback about our stay. She was super welcoming and explained the positions in the invoice. A brilliant end to a top stay.

Again the Staff at the front desk was amazing. They were super helpful, always friendly and did a fantastic job. They show the famous Austrian hospitality and go above and beyond for their guests. Still one of the best front office teams I have seen in a long time.

Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Recognition:
During check-in, the agent provided all the benefits which come along with our status.
We were asked, if we would like to have the points or the breakfast as welcome benefit an we were upgraded to one of the brand new executive rooms with balcony and mountain view.

There was a nice handwritten card in the room and as a welcome amenity a bottle of wine and some fresh sweets.

All in all a good recognition as Ambassador Elite Member.

Eligible nights and points:
The nights as well as the rest were posted 24 hours after our stay. BUT...
Again the earned points as well as the eligiable spend is not correct. The Hotel posted 199$ less than actualy spend at the property and this also results in a points discrepancy of 5183 points.
Always check your folio once the hotel has credited everything to your account.
Concierge:
The property has no concierge but the front desk helps as best as they can.
Room / Suite:
The brand new Executive Room with balcony and mountain view is simply stunning and wow!
We got upgraded to this room from a regular Executive Room. The Hotel was on full capacity for this weekend.
The new Executive rooms is only a little bit smaller than the "older" Junior suites but you can't feel the difference. Vice versa, the room itself seems to have the same size and with the balcony it even feels much bigger.
The room has floor to ceiling windows with a nice view over the mountains.
The atmosphere in the new room is simply amazing. Wooden floor, brand new interior, amazing lamps and light concept and some colors which freshen up the whole room. It gives you immediately a warm and cozy feeling.
The room has a king size bed with a modern headboard, a desk and desk chair, a cozy colorful wing chair with a reading light and a modern wardrobe.
The balcony is huge and offers a sofa and a wing chair with a table, cozy cussions as well as a floor lamp.

The air conditioning was working perfectly fine and nothing to compare to the situation last time.

WiFi was working better during this stay but this is still something to improve. There are some places without connectivity and sometimes it is really slow.

The bed itself was good but on the very firm side. This could be because the mattress is brand brand new.
The bedding such as pillows and the duvet were super comfy.
Bathroom:
The new bathroom is also wow! Very modern with a huge and amazing rainforest shower. The water pressure is absolutely efficient.
It is very modern and also here an amazing light concept with modern lights and what I loved, finally a hotel in Europe who offers some night lights if you have to use the restroom. Very well done.
Housekeeping:
Housekeeping was much better than last time but this is still and will also remain the most problematic part of this hotel.
It is outsourced like in any other property. This time at least you could see the difference when the bed was done from housekeeping compared to last time. As pros we can say that the room in general was super clean and another top thing is that they replenished the water bottles every day.
F&B outlets/ Lounge:
During day no F&B outlet is open but you can buy drinks at the Marketplace in the lobby next to the reception. This is okay for a Four Points by Sheraton.
Gastro Counter:
Also here the hotel has made a big step forward.
Gastro Counter is the hotel's sole bar and restaurant. There is no other F&B outlet available for dinner or drinks.
The Bar opens at 17:00 and the restaurant at 18:00.
As also this part is newly renovated, the interior is super nice and modern. There is a lot of wood and very bright colors to give the restaurant and bar a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel has integrated some amazing new features like wireless mobile charger in the bar.
Also this time the drinks at the bar were very good. Staff was always super friendly, attentive and they took the time to chat with the customers. They are super present and on the ball what is going on.
Luckily they have improved their food menu. The regular food menu isn't much bigger than last time and they have added a few new items and removed some others.
BUT...
To give returning customers or guests who stay longer a better and bigger option, they have implemented a new small menu with around 8 additional food items. This menu will change frequently.
With this change they are getting closer of being a real restaurant. It is now okay for a Four Points by Sheraton but it will still not win an award.
We tried the new food items from the small menu and were positively surprised of the food and quality compared to last time.
The food presentation was much better and was fresh and very tasty.
Definitely a big improvement and now you can dine at this property.
Top View Breakfast restaurant:
The Top View breakfast restaurant is the breakfast venue of the property. It is located on the 11th floor and has a stunning panoramic 270° view.
Also this time we were still blown away.
Wowww... What a breakfast venue for a Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.
It feels more like on a cruise ship with the view.
The interior is simply stunning and wow.
The buffet is absolutely top. There is a bread and pastry station, fresh fruits and juices, cereals, hot dishes, cold cuts and cheese and many more.
They still only offer sunny side up eggs or pancake at the hot egg station. Would be nice if they would add an omelet option.

The quality of the self service hot items has also improved compared to the last time.

During our stay, they had two massive groups who were staying at the hotel. Around 100 people came almost at the same time for breakfast. The team did an amazing job as they replenished the buffet in no time if some items run out. Thanks to the size of the venue it didn't feel overcrowded also with such big groups.

Staff was good, they learned the procedures and processes and it was way less hectic than last time and they were always friendly.

Executive Lounge:
There is no lounge.
Pool / Spa / Gym:
Still the biggest advantage of this property.
I have never seen a Four Points by Sheraton with such a huge pool/wellness area. The hotel offers a huge indoor pool, a heated outdoor pool, lots of saunas and steambath, hammam as well as a relaxation area free of charge for all hotel guests. It was simply stunning!
So far the Hotel still offers an own spa. The treatments aren't cheap but as we had one of the best massages last time we did repeat it and we can highly highly recommend the spa. Also this time the massage treatment was simply heaven.

Even they reduced the size of the gym massively with the renovation (used to be an entire floor which is now new rooms) they still offer a great gym for a Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.

Social Media:
Social media does post and repost some things on Instagram and Facebook and this time they even interacted on some of our posts.
Summary:
All in all it was a fantastic stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Panoramahaus Dornbirn.
We really loved it and felt home away from home.
The hard product is simply awesome. A brand new hotel with a top hard product. Not to mention the pools, wellness and spa.
The soft product has also improved compared to last time and the front office and bar staff is simply wow.
If the hotel manages to fill all the open staff positions and gives them the appropriate training in customer service and if they work on F&B and house keeping I see them as one of the best properties in Europe.
Already this stay was simply top.

We would highly recommend this property and we already made new reservations to go back.
