General Info:
The hotel is located in Hoofddop, around 12km from Amsterdam Schipol Airport.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to/from the airport, departing the airport on the hour. Careful, the ride is first come first served.
Which means the driver loaded our bags, hat a look into the bus and offloaded them again as apparently the bus was full.
We had to take a taxi to the hotel as we didn't want to wait another hour. The taxi ride takes approximately 10-15minutes and coats around 30€.

The Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport was built in 2002 and has a total of 260 rooms. The hotel has 10 floors in total.

The hotel is in very good shape. The rooms were renovated lately and the public area were also refreshed.

Check-in:
The check-in was very friendly, professional and helpful. The agent was always smiling and interacted with the guest.
Check-out:
Check-out was okay. The agent interacted with us and asked if everything was okay.
In general staff at the front desk was nice and helpful.
Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Recognition:
During check-in, the agent did acknowledge our status by saying so. And that was basically the whole recognition for the stay.
As our room rate had Breakfast included, we did choose the points as welcome benefit.

No card or any welcome amenity in the room.

Eligible nights and points:
The points, nights and eligible spend were posted 24 hours after our stay.
As usual the points and eligible spend does not corresponded with the final invoice and needed to be corrected by the Ambassador team.
Concierge:
The hotel does not have a concierge.
Room / Suite:
We booked the Penthouse room with jacuzzi, which is the best category of the hotel. It is a huge king size room with a desk and a small couch, a separate toilet and a huge bathroom. The room was super spacious with lots of windows. The room was just renovated recently.
We really loved the atmosphere in the room.
The bed itself was great and we had a super nights sleep.
The bedding such as pillows and duvet were super comfy.

The air conditioning was working perfectly.

WiFi is with login and it worked perfectly fine.
Speed of the WiFi was okay.
Bathroom:
The bathroom was simply massive in size with a huge jacuzzi, a walk in shower and a double sink.
2 huge windows allowed lots of natural light to get in.
There was a separate toilet.
Housekeeping:
The room was cleaned properly and the bed was done properly as well. Everything was super clean.

F&B outlets/ Lounge:

Brasserie Courtyard
The Brasserie Courtyard is the only F&B outlet of the property. It is a mix between bar and restaurant.
We had a few drinks at the bar last night as well as some snacks.
The drinks were okay and the snacks were okay. Staff was super stressed, overworked and though rather grumpy, unfriendly and did the bare basic. Orders got forgotten several times.
Also Breakfast was served at this outlet. A big disappointment is the breakfast times for an airport hotel.
In an airport hotel I do expect to get breakfast at 6:00AM latest 6:30AM. Here they only open at 7:00 AM which is definitely to late.
The buffet was okay but rather small for the size of the property.
They serve bread, pastry, juices, cereals, hot dishes, cold cuts and cheese and other items.
The quality of the food was good.
Marketplace
The Hotel offers a market place which is open 24/7.
Executive Lounge:
No Lounge at Courtyard Hotel Amsterdam
Pool / Spa / Gym:
The hotel has a gym and sauna on the 4th floor.
Social Media:
Social media seems to be unknown to this property. They do post and repost some things on Instagram and Facebook but no interaction at all.
Summary:
All in all an okay stay for just one night and for a layover between two flights.
Staff is a hit or miss.
Nice, comfortable and reniwated rooms in proximity of the airport.
Just for a layover or overnight we can recommend this property.
Notes:
- Paul the Sheep does not get any benefits from the Hotels/Airlines etc.
- Paul will always pay for the services in order to be able to rate freely and truly about the experiences.
