The Hotel is located right at the Singapore river with lots of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Only a hop of Chinatown and Clarke Quay.
Β
Check-in was ok. Unfortunately the agent was super hectic and stressed. He spoke way to fast and hardly understandable.
Bonvoy recognition is actually really good. We were upgraded to a premium room with river view and because the hottel does not have a lounge they do offer snacks and drinks at the bar from
18:00-20:00 for all elite members.
Check out was ok. The agent was friendly but stressed terribly.
The entire hotel is designed and set up for mass processing and there is no space or time for a personal touch.
Β
The room itself was nice. We were given a bigger room with river view. The rooms aren't really big but they are comfortable and have a good atmosphere.
The Interior and furniture is good in terms of condition.
The room we got the windows were super dirty from the inside. The windows were stained with grease from people who had leaned in to look out.
Β
Bathrooms were newly renovated. They look nice and good. Unfortunately they went a little to far with the water reducing shower. There is basically no more water running at all. You have to try to shower in a fog machine/creator. Every steambath is better.
Β
The bar was nice and ok. No Mojito as no mint available.
The staff at the bar pulls it out. They are doing an amazing job in terms of customer service and connect immediately with the guests.
Β
Breakfast is completely more shine than reality.
The room is huge and massive. So it can get full and busy. They do have reserved tables for Gold members and higher.
The buffet looks big and nice but...
All hot dishes (noodles, chicken, sausages etc) were cold. Scrambled eggs look like a soup so I tried an omelette. Unfortunately the eggs had a sour taste. Only 1 coffee machine working. Took us
10 minutes to queue for a coffee. Staff is present but running around headless. They wouldn't clear the tables.
Β
The pool is old and looks worn out. What distracted and disturbed me more are the washing machines and dryer which are next to the pool. This does not only look shitty it pulls down the four points brand as it is completely Motel style.
Β
ll in all an ok stay.
It is our 3rd Hotel in Singapore within 5 weeks. This one so far was the best in terms of overall satisfaction.
I am still super disappointed how bad the customer service and products are in Singapore compared to other Asian countries.
