First and foremost; a big thank you to the staff, such as the waiters, front desk, housekeeping, kitchen etc., they are outstanding and amazing.

The hotel is located on the touristy Island of Denarau in the middle of other chain hotels. The hotel has a nice pool but no beach.
Denarau Marina can be reached easily by Bula Bus.
As there are 2 other SPG Brand Hotels just next to the Westin you can choose all Food and Beverage outlets from all properties and still sign to your room.

The Agent at check in was really friendly and welcoming. The real check-in was done in the room and she explained us everything.

Check out was efficient and super personal.

The room is amazing and has a nice atmosphere. Yes, it is not the newest hotel anymore and the Interior is the classic Westin Style (wood, greenish/gray colors) but the room we stayed in was perfectly maintained and some refurbishments were done. We had a brand new huge shower for example.

The bed and mattress was simple heavenly.

It looks different on the outside of the buildings. Some are worn down and would need a refurbishment. When it rains water is coming from the ceiling or it pours out of the light bulbs!

The sunset pool bar is good. They serve drinks and snacks at the pool or on the patio during the evenings.
The quality of the cocktails and snacks is really good.

The Kitchen Grill is delicious. The team and food is high class.
It has a nice menu and a weekly menu special.

All the serving staff, doesn’t matter in which restaurant or outlet are amazing. They all go the extra mile and are proud in what the do.

Breakfast was delicious with a great buffet and a great choice.
Staff at breakfast was spreading a good atmosphere and all the waiters had time to chat with the guests.

We tried to order a caffe latte or cappuccino for breakfast. they are going to charge you for it as it is a „specialty“ coffee and extra served in their bakery outlet!
This makes no sense as you can order hot milk and use the espresso machine from the breakfast buffet to make your own latte.

WiFi is not made to work. It is terribly slow and it takes ages to open pages or to download or send emails.
So if this is Hotel is for your business trip bring lots of patience and go by the Bula Time.

The heavenly spa is huge. It is one of the biggest spas I have every seen and the therapists are amazing.

All in all it was a good stay. The regular staff here makes definitely the difference and helps this hotel to keep it up and running.

Would I recommend the Westin Denarau? Yes I would recommend this property for a 3-5 nights stay as it‘s location is good.

If you go for longer as 5 days I would recommend to make a mix of the Westin and the new Sheraton Resort on Tokoriki Island.
