This stay was a one night layover between two flights connecting in Lisbon. We arrived at around 15:30 and left the next morning at 7:00AM.

The Marriott Lisbon Hotel is located around a 5-10 minutes taxi/Uber ride from the airport and another 15 minutes from downtown Lisbon. There is not lots of touristy action around the hotel and it isn't the best location for a stay or weekend trip to Lisbon. For an overnight it will do perfectly fine.

From the outside, the hotel looks like a huge bunker in the 1970's. Inside, the hotel must have been renovated recently.
The interior looks very nice, new furniture, nice colors and great decoration.
This hotel has a total of 18 floors where 564 rooms are spread and they have a total of 13 suites.
For functions, they offer 16 meeting rooms
Check-in:
Check-in was really good. The agent was almost over motivated and super friendly. He interacted with the guests and was chit-chatting.
When he learned that we have to check out at 7:00AM he offered us a Breakfastbox which we declined as we will be able to have a coffee in the lounge at the airport.
There was even the Guest Relations Manager around at the elite check-in to greet the guests.
Frontdesk:
Otherwise the staff at the frontdesk was okay. Not overfriendly but helpful. I had a few questions and they tried to help.
Check-out:
Check-out was good and friendly. The agent interacted with the guests and made sure everything was okay during our stay.
Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite recognition:
Normal and good recognition at check in, thanking for the loyalty, offering additional points or F&B voucher. We didn't ask for late checkout as we had to leave at 7:00AM.
Thanks to our Ambassador Elite status we were upgraded to a very nice Executive King room with balcony.
A very nice handwritten card from the guest relations manager and some sweets were awaiting us in the room.
Room:
The room and interior looks also newly renovated.
The room has a great atmosphere with lots of natural lights thanks to the floor to ceiling window.
The furniture is modern and in good shape. We really liked the balcony overlooking the Courtyard with the pool.
Size wise the room was on the bigger side and it even had a small couch with table. At some other properties this could almost be called a junior suite. The aircon was working fine.

The bathroom was very nice in size and with a top modern look. Huge walk in shower with a rainshower head and awesome water pressure.

The bed was simply awesome. A great Marriott mattress with a soft and fluffy duvet with two different types of pillows.
We had a really good and a restful sleep.
F&B outlets/ Lounge:
The "Citrus Restaurant & Grill" would be the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is located in the Courtyard overlooking the garden and pool.
During our stay it would have only be open for breakfast. They serve breakfast Monday through Friday as of 6:30 and on the weekends as of 7:00AM. For a city hotel and so close to the airport this is in my eyes to late!
No lunch and dinner yet, restaurant is closed.
Paradiso Tiki Pool Bar:
Closed.
Tapas & Tiles Cafe Terrace:
This is the properties restaurant and bar in the lobby and it was the only restaurant open during our stay.
We had a few drinks and our dinner on the terrace. The menu is rather simple but the food was super fresh and very delicious.
But the prices are rather on the very high end for Lisbon.
Service staff wise a real hit or miss. The two grumpy elderly gentleman were super unfriendly and the younger guy was super attentive and helpful.
Club Lounge:
The M Club is located on the ground floor right beside the lobby restaurant and bar.
The lounge is still closed except from 17:00-19:00 for happy hour drinks and some nice snacks.
Also the lounge is newly renovated and it has its own terrace. The hotel offers a nice choice of beverages and some delicious nibbles consisting of hot and cold snacks as well as sweets.
Staff in the lounge was super friendly and attentive.
Pool:
The pool and pool area is completely different. Not renovated and it looks like in the 80's. It could really really use some love and renovation.
They offer enough sunbeds but there are no umbrellas. The sunbeds are plastic and look rater cheap. The tiles around the pool are most probably still the first ones when they build the pool.
With the pool bar and restaurant closed there is no service. For drinks or snacks you have to go yourself to the lobbybar to get your drinks.

Social media seems to be active on Facebook and Instagram but almost no interaction.

Last but not least they are following all COVID protocols and we havent met a single associate not wearing a mask. Everywhere are disinfection stations and reminders to keep the distance.

All in all a good and solid stay but nothing out of the ordinary.
I would recommend this hotel for a layover in transit to stay closer to the airport.
If you are visiting Lisbon for vacation or as a weekend trip, there are better choices and more conveniently located.
