This stay was a two night stay in Nairobi before heading on a 8 day safari.

The Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham located a little outside of CBD district of Nairobi in a quiet and nice area. The transport from the airport to the hotel can be arranged with the Hotel and takes around 30 minutes.
There are a few restaurants around the hotel and the Yaya Shopping center is only a 10 minutes walk away.
The property isn't that big and was only recently renovated and rebranded as a Four Points by Sheraton.
This hotel has a total of 7 floors. On 6 floors there are the 90 rooms and 6 suites. The 7th floor is the rooftop where the hotel has a restaurant, a bar and the pool.
As the hotel was recently renovated and rebranded it looks very nice, modern and elegant.
There are lots of modern touches throughout the building and the colors used are refreshing and there is lots of wood.
Check-in:
We arrived at 9:30 pm and the check-in was good. The agent was super friendly and interacted with us.
Frontdesk:
All front desk staff were super friendly and always helpful. We had to organize a few things and they were there to help.
They also organized the transport from the airport pre arrival and always answered the emails within a few hours.
Check-out:
Check-out was good and friendly. The agent interacted with the guests and made sure everything was okay during our stay.
Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite recognition:
Thanks to our Ambassador Elite status we were already upgraded into an Executive Suite a few days pre arrival. That is awesome to see and to receive such an upgrade before checking in. Thanks a million.
Normal recognition at check in, thanking for the loyalty, offering additional points as breakfast was included with the rate.
The agent at check-in also said there would be an additional local gift for Ambassador members, but he ran out of it. We would be getting it the next day. We never received it. This isn't to complain as we wouldn't have had the space to take it on our safari but if an agent promises to bring it the next day it should be done.
We didn't ask for late checkout as we had to leave at 7:30 AM
2 extra bottles of water and a small fruit basket were prepared in the room.

As already said, thanks to our Ambassador Elite status we were upgraded to a very nice Executive King Suite.

Room:
The room and interior looks also newly renovated and the suite has a great atmosphere with lots of natural lights thanks to two big windows.
The furniture is modern and in good shape. The decoration and art is beautiful. They are using some colored furniture and paintings to make it look more modern.
Size wise the room has a good size and what we loved most was the hardwood floor. Heaven... We do not like carpets.
The aircon was working but it is almost to weak to be able to cool down the room.
WiFi wasn't working properly in the room. Connection was lost every 5 minutes and signal was poor. Luckily we are here for vacation and not for business.
The bathroom is a regular hotel bathroom. Regular size, regular look.
The shower has only one hand spray and that's it. Water pressure is on the weak side but understandable for Kenya.
A big disaster also here is the shower wall, which is around 40cm wide. That means showering without flooding the bathroom is impossible.

The king size bed was comfortable and the mattress was on the hard side which we like. Pillows and duvet are nice and we had a really good and a restful sleep.

F&B outlets/ Lounge:

Pablo's Restaurant:
Pablo's Restaurant is the main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the ground floor.
Breakfast was served at this restaurant as a buffet. They are offering full service without any cuts due to covid.
The buffet offered a fresh fruit juice station, bread, toast and Danish, fresh fruit, Joghurt, cold cuts as well as a massive hot items station including a live egg cooking station.
Breakfast was super delicious and everything was fresh and tasty.
For lunch and dinner the restaurant offers authentic flavors and a variety of dishes that includes Italian, Asian, Continental and Swahili cuisine.
Mezze On The Deck
This restaurant is located on the rooftop, it is open for lunch and dinner and offers traditional Mediterranean flavors. Thanks to the rooftop location Mezze On The Deck offers a beautiful view overlooking the city of Nairobi.
We had dinner at this place and the food was super delicious, tasty and fresh.
Level 8 Lounge & Bar:
Level 8 Lounge & Bar is the rooftop bar where we enjoyed our drinks and also here you have a nice view over the skyline of Nairobi.
On weekends they do have a DJ playing life music.
Lobby Café:
This is the Coffee shop where you can enjoy delicious Kenyan coffee and fresh pastries and cakes. The cakes looked amazing.
All F&B staff in all the outlets are simply amazing. Super friendly, accommodating and helpful. They serve you with a smile and you feel more than welcome.
They simply do an amazing job and are a big asset of this property.
Club Lounge:
Like almost every four points by sheraton there is no lounge.

Pool:

The pool is located on the rooftop right next to the bar. It is a rather small pool (around 3x10meters) with only 5 sunbeds.
It would look so cozy and beautiful but...
There is a big but... No chance to be able to use the pool as a hotel guest. The hotel allows outside guests to come to this tiny pool. When we were there, there were around 5-6 families with around 14 kids. It was a pure kindergarden and no chance to lay down and relax.
With such a small pool and limited sunbeds I do not understand why the hotel is allowing outside guests to come to the pool.
If a pool area is something important or what you are looking for your stay, this hotel is definitely the wrong place.
In addition the pool is right next to the bar your are not allowed to take drinks there. Super strange!
Social Media:
Social media is actually pretty active on Facebook and are posting almost daily but there was no interaction on posts.
All they do is posting advertisements.
Last but not least they are following all COVID protocols and we havent met a single associate not wearing a mask. Everywhere are disinfection stations and reminders to keep the distance.
We felt more save in this hotel and in entire Nairobi compared to Europe and home.
Summary:
All in all a solid stay at this property with absolutely amazing staff. A nice room, a good bed and a great breakfast buffet.
I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Nairobi for 1 or 2 nights.
